It's all fun and games until the starving masses revolt! MARIE ANTOINETTE by David Adjmi is a dark comedy about the lavish and sad life of the notorious Queen of France. Starting in the early years of her reign and ending with her execution, it explores her faults, her passions, and her humanity.

I loved designing this show. Every wig in this show was hand fronted by me. I stacked two wigs together to create the tall wigs we recognize as Marie's iconic, and tall, style. The greatest challenge was creating a wig that could be cut on stage every night as she was being prepared for the guillotine, and be put back together for the next show.

FIVE CAROLS FOR CHRISTMAS by Jim Christian centers around five friends (all named Carol) who set out to present a Christmas program that people will never forget. The program spirals into madcap misadventure through which they are able to salvage their camaraderie and the spirit of the holidays.

When working on this show I definitely felt the importance of making sure each wig had the correct personality for each character. The Carols are all so dynamic and distinct. However, I also wanted them to feel cohesive. I feel like the end result accomplished just that. I ventilated the fronts for each wig, matched to the hairline of the actor.

The well known and loved PHANTOM OF THE OPERA by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Deformed since birth, a bitter man known only as the Phantom lives in the sewers underneath the Paris Opera House. He falls in love with the obscure chorus singer Christine, and privately tutors her while terrorizing the rest of the opera house and demanding Christine be given lead roles.

I had the opportunity of working with an amazing makeup artist, Shawn Gordon, to complete the design of the Phantom. There were 20 wigs in this show, including eight "powdered" wigs for the IL MUTO scene. I rigged both of Carlotta's wigs so that she could do an onstage quick change into her IL MUTO wig during "Prima Donna." I ventilated the fronts for each of the wigs in this production.
